What is a  Visa Award Card?

The Visa Award Card is a prepaid card that can be used at any merchant who accepts Visa debit cards. It carries a fixed cash amount that can be used at millions of locations - in stores, restaurants, over the phone or even online.

How does the Award Card work?

A Visa Award Card can be used just like a regular Visa Card. Every time the card is used, the purchase amount is deducted from the available balance until that balance reaches zero. Once the entire amount has been spent, the Award Card can no longer be used as a method of payment. The card can be kept as a keepsake or be destroyed and discarded. (Note: The Visa Award Card cannot be used to obtain cash from ATM.)

How long can an Award Card be used?

Purchases can be made up to two years after the card issue date. However, a monthly maintenance fee of $2.50 will be assessed on the card balance beginning in the seventh month after the card issue date, and will continue until the remaining value is depleted or until the expiration of the card.

How long does it take to process and receive my Award Card orders?

After we receive payment, the Award Cards can be delivered within 5 to 10 business days. If you decided to create a customized Award Card design, please allow 10 to 12 business days to set-up the card graphic layout. After the card design has been set-up, we can fulfill a customized Award Card order within 5 to 10 business days.

What type of payments do you accept for  Visa Award Card orders?

For Bulk orders, we accept company checks or wire transfers.

What do I need to do to set-up a customized card design?

It's easy to set-up a customized card. You will need to submit your card artwork to us and approve the design before we can set it up in our system. Please review Customize Your Program for detailed requirements. It generally takes about 10 to 12 business days to set-up your card artwork upon receiving your approval.

Will I need to make a minimum order of customized cards?

No. We can customize Award Cards of any quantity. There is no minimum requirement or card stock inventory that you will need to maintain.

Is a Visa Award Card reloadable?

No,  Visa Award Cards are non-reloadable.

How much value can be put on a Visa Award Card?

For bulk orders, we can accommodate card values ranging from $20 to $1,000. On cards that have a value greater than $1,000 we do require a valid recipient name, address and phone number.

Are the cards sent to me or directly to the recipients?

We can either send an entire bulk order of cards overnight to one location or directly to the individual recipients via United States Postal Service 1st Class mail.

Can you ship the cards to a location outside of the United States?

No, we will not ship cards to any location outside of the United States. Our Visa Award Cards are intended for use within the United States.

What if there are still funds available when an Award Card expires?

We encourage cardholders to use the entire amount before the card expires. Any balance remaining will be returned less a $25 closure fee (or the remaining balance if it is less than $25) deducted from the card balance. Funds will be distributed by check within 10 to 12 weeks.

What if I have extra cards that I ordered and want a refund?

If you have cards that you would like to return, we can unload the value from those cards and send you a check for the value of those cards less a $25 processing fee per card. The initial service and shipping fee is non-refundable.

What if there are questions about an Award Card balance or transaction?

It's easy to keep track of what's left on an Award Card. Recipients can visit our Web site at to view balance or transaction history. Or, our Customer Service Department can be contacted 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

What if an Award Card is ever lost or stolen?

The card can be canceled and replaced by simply calling our Customer Service Center 24 hours a day, seven days a week. As long as the lost or stolen card is reported immediately, the recipient may not be responsible for any unauthorized charges. After the card has been canceled, we will send a replacement card with the remaining balance, minus a $10 reissue fee that will be deducted from the card balance.

Can a purchase be made for more than the amount remaining on the card?

Yes, the recipient will just need to pay the difference between the purchase price and the remaining value on a Visa Award Card with cash, check, credit card or debit card. It's important for the recipient to know their remaining balance, as some merchants may not have the ability to check the available balance on a Award Card. Also, some merchants may require that the card have an available balance greater than the purchase amount to ensure sufficient funds for tips or incidental expenses. For example, many restaurants automatically authorize an Award Card transaction for up to 20% above the purchase price to cover potential tips. The recipient will need to add this additional percentage amount to the total transaction amount when trying to use their Award Card otherwise they may accidentally be authorizing a total purchase above their Award Card balance. Use of the card at automated fuel dispensers requires a minimum balance of $30, but only the actual amount spent will be deducted from the card.
